We’re excited to share the first episode of our new vlog, Let’s Talk: Conversations with Dr. Blaine. Each month, Superintendent of Schools Jennifer Blaine will sit down with district leaders to explore topics that matter to SBISD families. In this episode, Dr. Blaine discusses school safety and student supports with SBISD Chief of Police Larry Baimbridge and Executive Director Tyra Walker. Together, they discuss how SBISD works to keep students safe, supported and connected and the important role we all play in creating safe schools.

| Keeping schools safe takes preparation, partnership and strong relationships. It also takes dedicated people who know our schools, build trust with students and are ready to respond when needed.
At Spring Branch Middle School (SBMS), Dr. Blaine visited with SBISD Police Officers Nancy Avila and Rigoberto Hernandez, along with K-9 Wat, to go behind the badge and learn more about their work, their connection with students and the important role they play in keeping SBISD schools safe every day.

Welcome to the new Guthrie Center. |
|
|
As SBISD celebrates 80 years of excellence, we’re opening the doors to an exciting new chapter. Made possible through the 2022 Bond Program, the new Guthrie Center, SBISD’s state-of-the-art central CTE facility, represents a significant investment in our students and the possibilities for their futures.
Take a look inside through our preview video and booklet. Then, join us Sept. 29 for the Community Open House and Campus Tours. This is a milestone for our entire SBISD community and a moment to celebrate where we’ve been, where we’re going and what we continue to make possible together. |
