Happy Monday, Timberwolves, I hope you enjoyed a 4 day weekend with your family and friends. On Friday, the Terrace staff had a full day of learning, digging into data, conference prepping and lesson planning! We look forward to seeing our youngest pups back tomrorow morning!
The Calm Parent (Family Workshop) is Thursday 10/15 at 10:00 a.m.: Please join us to learn more strategies about ways to handle stress and build stronger connections with your children. The training will be held via Zoom (link here) and the passcode is: Terrace. Take a moment for yourself—and your family. Join us for a welcoming, interactive workshop to learn simple ways to handle stress, be kind to yourself, and build stronger connections with your children.
Our pack is strongest when every Timberwolf is here! Each school day builds on the one before, so even one missed day leaves a gap in learning. Please help your child be at school every day, on time, ready to learn with their pack. If your child has a fever, please take them to the doctor instead of school! A doctors note can excuse their absence. Reminder, please email: tce@springbranchisd.com anytime your student will be absent.
Surprise Attendance Day: Timmy's "You Had to Be Here" Day was this past Thursday! Our kids were so excited to see Timmy and hear the Spring Woods High School Drumline perform during lunch! See pics below. Come every day, because you never know when the next Timmy's "You Had to Be Here" Day will be!
🏅Goal for 2nd 6 Week's Attendance: 95.70%
👎Last Week's Attendance: 95.05% ⬇️ from last week, and still short of our goal!
This Week's Attendance Prizes include: A highland cow stuffy, a game of Twister, a parakeet LEGO set and a chance to win a pizza party with friends! BONUS PRIZE: Don't miss a day of school in the whole month of October, and your name will be entered into the drawing to win a giant Pikachu stuffy!
The deadline to submit a GT referral for the 2026-2027 school year is October 16, 2026: Click here to learn more and find how to refer your student. School Bus
Seatbelt Reminders: If you child(ren) ride the bus, it is required that they wear their seatbelt for their safety. We are talking a lot about that at school, but could really use your help reminding them at home. We especially need them to be reminded as they get on the bus in the mornings! Thank you for helping keep our kids safe! 📸Picture Day Re-Takes 📸 Picture day was a success! Pictures came home last week, and ordering information can be found below. Picture Retake Day has been scheduled for 10/29 at 8:00 a.m.

Stay Connected with Terrace! |
More choice in how you receive school communications! You may have recently noticed that some school or district messages are arriving in a different language than you received in the past. This is part of the expanded language options available to our families through our new communications platform, Apptegy.
The language used for your communications is based on the Correspondence Language identified in Skyward during your student's registration. Prefer to receive messages in a different language? The school's ADA in the main office can help update your correspondence language preference in Skyward.
Please contact the main office (Ms. Teresa) for assistance or email: tce@springbranchisd.com Once your preference is updated in Skyward, future communications will reflect your selected correspondence language. |

Terrace will no longer be offering free breakfast and lunch this year to all students due to changes in Federal Funding. Your student may still qualify for a free/reduced meal plan, but action is needed! We encourage ALL FAMILIES to complete the "Free and Reduced Meal Application" on the School Cafe website. You can log into your School Cafe account to complete the form or complete the form as a "Guest" on the website. If you prefer to fill out a paper copy, please come by Terrace to get one. While you are in your School Cafe account, it is recommended that you pre-fund your child's meal account, however this is not required. You can also fund your student's cafeteria account through cash or checks. School Cafe also will have the menus, and ways for you to customize/limit spending for your student(s). See the district's School Nutrition website below for more detailed information, and feel free to call the school if you have any questions (713-251-7200). Again, ALL families are required to complete the Free and Reduced Meal Application on the School Cafe website. Thank you!
